Bio
Dr. Emily Schumacher is a general dentist who has always believed that dentistry is as much about people as it is about teeth. She values the unique story of every patient and strives to make each visit comfortable, collaborative, and tailored to individual needs.
She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Manitoba, graduating with honours and receiving the Gold Medal for highest academic achievement. To further expand her clinical skills, she moved to San Antonio, Texas, where she completed a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD). This intensive program provided her with advanced training in comprehensive treatment planning, cosmetic and restorative dentistry, implant placement, and minor oral surgery.
Dr. Schumacher follows a patient-first philosophy—providing individualized, preventive care in a welcoming and supportive environment. She prioritizes open communication and aims to educate and empower her patients, ensuring they feel understood and confident in making informed decisions about their oral health. She also remains passionate about staying current with the latest advancements in dental technology and techniques, ensuring that every treatment is thoughtful and effective.
She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, with a special interest in cosmetic and restorative dentistry. Whether she is helping a patient restore function or achieve their dream smile, her goal is always to provide care that is both clinically excellent and personally meaningful.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Schumacher enjoys exploring new cuisines, staying active outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. Making a positive difference in how patients experience dentistry continues to inspire her every day, and her goal is to make each patient feel they are in the right hands—from their first visit to their final result.
