This Privacy Policy describes how hellodent Holdings ULC (“hellodent”, “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses and discloses personal information in connection with the hellodent website at www.hellodent.com (the "Website").

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND HOW WE USE IT

You can visit the Website without providing any personal information.  However, in order to use certain features of the Website, we may ask you to provide personal information.

Find a Clinic. If you would like to use the find a dental clinic feature, we will ask you to provide information about your location, such as your postal code, city and province of residence or street address.  You may also choose to allow our Website to access your current location using the location services feature of your device, where available. We use this information in order to provide you with a list of dental clinics near you.

Request an Appointment.  We may offer the ability to request an appointment with a dental clinic.  If you choose to use this feature, we will ask you to provide your name and contact information and information about the dental services that you are interested in.  We will share this information with the dental clinic so that they can schedule and communicate with you in respect of your appointment.

Ratings and Reviews.  If you post ratings and reviews about our products through Google, we may display that rating or review on our Website. We are not responsible for how others may use the information that you choose to make public through ratings or reviews. Please do not post anything you are not comfortable sharing publicly.

Questions and Comments. If you contact us with a question or comment you may be asked to provide your name and contact information so that we can respond.  

We may also use the personal information you provide to improve our Website and our products and services, to protect you and us from fraud or other unlawful activity, and otherwise with your consent or as permitted or required by law.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT AUTOMATICALLY

When you visit our Website, we automatically collect your IP address, the date and time of your visit, the pages you visit, the features you use, and the referring URL’s you came from. We use this information to improve our Website and services.

Clinics.  If you choose to book an appointment through our Website (where available) we will share the information you provide with the dental clinic so that they can schedule and communicate with you about the appointment.

Service Providers: We may use service providers (including affiliates acting in this capacity) to provide certain services on our behalf such as data hosting and processing, analytics, marketing and advertising, communications and other services. Some of these service providers may be located outside of Canada, including in the United States.

Business transactions. Personal information may be used and disclosed to parties connected with the proposed or actual financing, securitization, insuring, sale, assignment or other disposal of all or part of hellodent or our business or assets, for the purposes of evaluating and/or performing the proposed transaction.  Assignees or successors of hellodent or our business or assets may use and disclose your personal information for similar purposes as those described in this Privacy Policy.

Legal: We and our service providers may disclose personal information in response to a search warrant or other legally valid inquiry or order (which may include lawful access by Canadian, US or other foreign governmental authorities, courts or law enforcement agencies) or as otherwise required or permitted by law.

You may request access to or correction of your personal information in our control by submitting a written request to our Privacy Officer (see “Contact Us” below).  You may also withdraw your consent to our processing of your personal information. Your right to access or correct your personal information, and withdraw consent, is subject to certain legal restrictions and we take steps to verify identity before providing access or making corrections.

UPDATES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy is effective as of the Effective Date written above.  We may update or amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. The revised Privacy Policy will be posted on our Website. We recommend that you refer to this Privacy Policy frequently for the latest information about our personal information practices.
