Bio
Dr. Andreas Azarko graduated from the University of Alberta in 1990 after completing both his Bachelor of Science degree and Doctor of Dental Surgery at the age of 21. He entered private practice alongside his older brother, Dr. Enrico Azarko, establishing what would become the Azarko Dental Group.
Over the decades, the practice grew into a respected group clinic with multiple dedicated doctors and extended hours of care. Throughout his career, Dr. Azarko enjoyed practicing General Dentistry, incorporating laser treatments and micro-air abrasion techniques where appropriate. While he introduced clear orthodontic options such as Invisalign® into the practice during his active clinical years, he has since stepped back from providing orthodontic services as part of his transition into emeritus status. Dr. Azarko also played a key role in modernizing the clinic, leading the adoption of full digital integration—including iTero digital scanning, digital X-rays, and chairside computer systems—as part of the move toward a fully paperless environment.
Beyond dentistry, Dr. Azarko has long been an active member of the community, supporting organizations such as Goodwill Industries of Alberta, the Cross Cancer Institute, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. In his personal time, he enjoys culinary experimentation, water sports, skiing, and maintaining a regular exercise routine.
