Bio
Dr. Gillespie has been practising in Dundarave in West Vancouver for over 26 years. He is a graduate with Distinction from the University of Saskatchewan. Earning his DMD degree in 1999 and was awarded honours in Oral Surgery and Restorative dentistry. In Chicago in 2005, he was awarded Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists for Dental Implant Surgeries and Bone Grafting.
A graduate of the Misch International Implant Institute, Dr. Gillespie has developed his career with continuous investment in his education and skills, joining some of the world’s best educators in seminars and hands-on training. He has placed over 1600 dental implants and restored over 2000 implant prostheses. Dr. Gillespie was featured in Fashion Magazine in the last several years as “Who To See In Cosmetic Dentistry” and has completed over 15,000 porcelain crowns and veneers.
As our managing partner dentist in Dundarave, West Vancouver, Dr. Gillespie’s focus is on Invisalign, cosmetic, and implant dentistry and he enjoys providing patient care from the smallest fillings and whitening to full mouth reconstruction and advanced crown and implant cases. Invisible braces, or Invisalign, have become popular with his patients wanting a straighter smile without conventional braces and is an Invisalign® Pearl provider.
Dr. Gillespie started his 40 Smiles campaign in 2016 on his 40th birthday and has since completed over $200,000 in pro-bono dentistry for those in need from the lower mainland. He volunteered his time with the BC Dental Association as on the Future of Dentistry Taskforce, Marketing and Communications Board, and was the Chair of the Public Education and Communication Committee for several years leading to an award of Merit from the BC Dental Association.
