Bio
Dr. Jaskaran Beniwal grew up in Milan, Italy, before moving to Canada at the age of 16. He earned his Honours Bachelor of Medical Sciences degree from Western University, followed by his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry. During his training, he gained clinical experience at Schulich’s Urgent Care Clinic and completed externships in general dentistry and oral surgery at University Hospital in London and Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto.
Following graduation, Dr. Beniwal practised dentistry in rural Manitoba, providing care to underserved communities. As the sole dentist in a busy rural practice, he gained experience in restorative dentistry, root canal treatments, crowns, dentures, surgical extractions, and dental emergencies. This experience strengthened his commitment to providing compassionate, accessible, and patient-centred care.
Beyond dentistry, Dr. Beniwal is passionate about leadership, mentorship, and community outreach. During dental school, he served as Class President and Student Council President and was named Valedictorian. He speaks English, Italian, Punjabi, and Hindi, allowing him to connect with patients from diverse backgrounds.
Dr. Beniwal strives to make every patient feel comfortable and welcome while helping them achieve and maintain healthy, confident smiles.
