Dr. John Lau is a dedicated general dentist with over 30 years of experience providing compassionate, comprehensive dental care in Ottawa, Ontario. Originally from Edmonton, Alberta, Dr. Lau earned his Bachelor of Science in Honors Psychology from the University of Alberta, where he developed a strong interest in biofeedback and the mind-body connection. This unique background continues to shape his calm, empathetic approach to dentistry.
In 1992, Dr. Lau completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at the University of Alberta's Faculty of Dentistry. Shortly after graduation, he relocated to Ottawa, drawn by the capital’s vibrant community and diverse surroundings. Since then, he has become a trusted provider for patients of all ages, offering a full range of general dentistry services with a focus on preventive care, restorative treatments, and long-term oral health.
Dr. Lau’s foundation in psychology allows him to create a reassuring environment where patients feel heard, respected, and at ease. His patient-first philosophy is at the heart of his practice, earning him a reputation for thoughtful and attentive care.
