Bio
Dr. Kathy Lin is a dedicated and patient-focused dentist committed to providing high-quality, personalized care. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Toronto in 2024, after completing her Bachelor of Science at McGill University in 2020.
She strives to create a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable, informed, and cared for. Fluent in English and Mandarin, Dr. Kathy values building trusting, long term relationships with her patients. Dr. Kathy is a certified Invisalign provider and has completed continuing education in Invisalign treatment and root canal therapy. She is an active member of the BC Dental Study Club and Van-city Dental Club. She is currently completing a year long dental implant training program focused on implant planning, placement, and restoration.
Dr. Kathy has a particular interest in esthetic services, including composite bonding and veneers, helping patients achieve healthy, natural-looking smiles they feel confident about. Dr. Kathy is also passionate about community outreach and improving access to dental care for underserved populations. During dental school, she was selected as one of two students to travel to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, alongside two U of T professors to teach dentistry for two weeks. She continues this commitment in Vancouver by working at a community dental clinic on East Hastings where she provides care to underserved patients and supervises UBC dental students as a clinical instructor. She finds great fulfillment in helping patients overcome barriers to accessing dental care while supporting and mentoring the next generation of dental professionals.
Outside the office, Dr. Kathy stays active with snowboarding, running, and has recently taken up tennis and Pilates. She loves cooking and experimenting with new recipes. Dr. Kathy also enjoys spending time with her cat, Custard, and exploring local pet stores for new treats and toys.
