Bio
Dr. Shahzad Atashband attended the University of Sydney’s School of Dentistry and graduated with Honors in 2012. He is a member of the Alberta Dental Association, the Canadian Dental Association, and the Edmonton District Dental Society. Dr. Atashband has worked in rural Australia and on Vancouver island before settling down in Edmonton. He also taught final year dental students at Charles Stuart University in Australia. He is a certified Invisalign provider and trained in nitrous sedation .
Dr. Atashband is affectionately known as Dr. Shaz by staff and patients. He is known for his caring, and professional chair-side manner. He aims to provide the most comprehensive and best care possible and strives each day to grow and learn, and in doing so, provide patients with the best dentistry has to offer. Lastly, he believes in treating his patients as one of his own family members.
In his free time, he and his wife Aleisha enjoy going to shows and events around Edmonton. They enjoy travelling and visiting new places. They both love to hike and exploring the walking trails throughout the city. Dr. Shaz and Aleisha are the proud parents of two beautiful boys.
