Bio
Dr. Spencer Dawson was born and raised in Nanaimo, British Columbia and completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree at the University of British Columbia. Throughout his education, he developed a strong foundation in comprehensive dental care.
Dr. Dawson enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a comfortable, welcoming and collaborative environment. He has particular interests in pediatric dentistry and oral surgery, and values helping patients feel informed, relaxed, and confident throughout their treatment. Dr. Dawson’s experience includes caring for patients of all ages and backgrounds, with an emphasis on building trusting relationships and creating positive dental experiences.
A firm believer in giving back to the community, Dr. Dawson has volunteered extensively throughout British Columbia, including work with rehabilitation facilities, BC Cancer, and Special Olympics BC. These experiences have strengthened his appreciation for the impact compassionate healthcare can have on individuals and families.
Dr. Dawson believes that exceptional dentistry combines clinical excellence, continuing education, and genuine communication. He is dedicated to helping patients achieve and maintain healthy smiles through personalized treatment plans tailored to their individual needs and goals.
Outside of dentistry, he enjoys golfing, hiking, practicing yoga, and playing baseball. When not outside, he can be found watching his beloved Canucks and Red Sox (probably yelling at the TV as if they can hear him). He is excited to be joining the BSDC team and looks forward to building lasting relationships with patients and serving the community for years to come.
