Bio
Dr. Spooner grew up in West Vancouver and obtained a Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from UBC in 1979 and 1984. He maintains his knowledge and skill through extensive continuing education courses and is in good standing as a member of the Canadian Dental Association, the Fraser Valley Dental Association, and the International Team for Implantology.
He owned a successful dental practice in North Delta for 20 years. In 2009, tired of the commute, he sold his practice and joined Dr. Gillespie at North Shore Smile. He currently practices as one of our dentists in our brand North Vancouver dental clinic. During his time off, Dr. Spooner enjoys playing hockey and squash but his main passion is being on the golf course. He competes in many senior amateur tournaments throughout the year and boasts a single-digit handicap. He welcomed his first grandson Riley in 2018 and looks forward to the day he can take him to the driving range.
