Bio
Dr. Omar Shamji completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training at the University of Rochester in upstate New York and his Doctorate of Dental Medicine at McGill University in Montreal. Prior to entering the surgical specialty, he completed a year of advanced training in General Dentistry at the University of Connecticut which was heavily focused on the surgical and restorative aspects of dental implants.Dr. Shamji prides himself on providing excellent care to his patients. His calm and relaxed nature helps to alleviate anxiety and create an ideal atmosphere for what can be a stressful situation for many people. His surgical training was supplemented with extensive experience in the safe administration of anesthesia and sedation.Outside of work, Dr. Shamji enjoys spending time with his wife Christine, daughter Charlotte, and large extended family. Traveling and experiencing different cultures is another passion of his, as well as playing sports including tennis, basketball and golf.
